Just thought that as some of us have already mentioned our jobs we could start a strand on this.

I was a secondary teacher up until Christmas 2006 and am now a University Tutor for my local Uni in Canterbury at CCCU.

So what about the rest of you?

By trade I am an electronics engineer (how boring), but I work in a Sales Support department as an applications engineer helping customers, select, set up and maintain the equipment they buy from us. I also do the techincal support bit too. Oh and I get to go to exhibitions to set up our stands and also Sales conventions in very exotic countries biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Tim keeps you all supplied with Copen bits for a living - a dirty job but someone has to do it!
I - for my sins - am about to return to teaching at a local secondary school...up until a week ago I was a Careers Adviser...currently a lady of leisure and getting under Tim's feet! biggrin.gif

Hi all

I'm a nurse by profession but have sold out and now in hospital management
co-ordinating admissions.

ie If you need an operation I tell you which ward to go to and if you come to A+E or to your Gp and you need to be admitted to hospital I decide where you go.

Very boring and stressfull.

He says sat at his desk posting replies on the forum. HA HA HA

Have had enough of hospital recently but admire anyone who works in the NHS, except those overpaid administrators at the top end!!!!

I'm an accountant; or at least training to be. It's a case of four days at work, one day at Uni. However I also have a degree in Fine Art and I work voluntarily (that's not spelt right) for Barnardos which is my good deed to get me into heaven!

Hi all, my job title is Facilities assistant but basically I run the postroom for BUPA Care services (we look after care homes) and look after the building!!!

Love my job so flexible and always running about which means I can check on Copey in the car park and check who is parked next to her at various times of the day.

I'm a contract Technical Author. I write Online Help Systems and User Manuals for software systems. Is there a yawning emoticon? unsure.gif

In my spare time I also write, but enjoyable stuff: I write about older dogs that need homes, for the Oldies Club website. cool.gif

Dog rescue is my main interest in life!

Didn't we do this a couple of months ago on another thread?

Anyway, I sell digital TV transmitters to replace all the analogue ones that will be switched off by 2012. Hope you've all got your set top boxes ready.......

When I grow up I want to be a rock star.
