Now surplus to requirements
see previous post I have a rear tonneau to give away if anyone wants it. This is useful if you spend much time with the roof down and it fills the gap at the top of the boot lid left when the roof folds down It came with the 'Vivid' special edition pack and I think I've only used it once or twice. If you want it, come and get it. I'm in Ware (Herts) let me know Nick |

Such a thing would be very handy for our Copen. Though I hate to profit from anothers misfortune.
We are just down the road in Tewin (Herts). If you PM me your address and a time I can pop over. |

Further update. Make sure that you have the correct fittings on your Copen to attach the tonneau cover to. Mine hasn't
http://www.daihatsu-drivers.co.uk/node/1464 Daihatsu used to do a fitting kit but I can't find anyone to supply one now. Puck still has his tonneau cover available. |

I'd love to take you up on your kind offer. I'm a bit confused about this fitting thing though. I have a 1.3 version, would it fit mine? Or do you have the fittings?
Also I live in Wales but am willing to pay courier to have it delievered. Would this be ok? -------------------- 'Judge a car on how it makes you feel, not on what it can achieve' Clarkson

I bought a tonneau after I bought my Copen.
There are several 'parts' needed & they all had different part nos. so I don't see why you can't just buy the parts you need. As well as the tonneau & the bag it lives in, you need a replacement trim to go along the back behind the seats, this has the fasteners to fix the tonneau down & a microswitch which you disconnect & plug into the new trim panel. Also need 2 brackets which you have to fit in the boot for the tonneau to sit in when not being used, & a hook to keep it in place. Amazing how the roof clears the tonneau when it goes in the boot when the tonneau is in it's place. I suppose you could do without the brackets & hook but then you need somewhere else to keep it when not using it. There were no instructions with it, I had to work out where to fit the brackets in the boot by looking in the owners manual, it's strange how they tell you so much in the manual about the tonneau but don't supply it with the car, perhaps in Japan it was a standard item. To fit the new trim you have to remove the perspex between the little roll bars & prise off the short bit of plastic trim along the back first. Surly if Daihatsu still sell tonneau covers they can still get the extra bits you need. Perhaps they don't know what they need if they've never sold one separately before? Hope this helps. -------------------- Go, little Copen, go
